This piece features a tall, flaring bowl that rises from a plump, rounded heel and cants dramatically at the fore of the composition. The shank flares from the muscular transition to a wide face that mirrors the angular shaping of the bowl's rim, creating a sense of visual harmony at either end of the stummel. A crisp sandblast dresses the stummel and coaxes out stellar growth rings across the flanks of the briar.
