Savinelli Autograph: Autograph Smooth Bent Dublin (0) (6mm) Tobacco Pipe

As a part of Savinelli's Autograph series, this bent Dublin represents the handiwork of a single one of the marque's best artisans, hand made from start to finish using specially-selected briar that displays the best possible grain. Certainly a Freehand-inspired piece, the bowl of this pipe is strikingly large, coming in at nearly two and a half inches tall and flaring dramatically to a broad, expansive rim that's crowned with plateau. The entirety of the shank is a square, paneled affair whose face is slanted rearward and whose build takes on a slight lift out of the transition, with the stem married to it being a demurely curved taper of black acrylic that's been stylized in a spiral-like pattern which adds some intrigue to the aft side and balances the visual weight of the bowl a bit. Dressing this piece is a vibrant auburn-mahogany stain that reveals dense streaks of wrapping flame grain flowing through the flanks of the stummel, while the underside is peppered by birdseye.
