Savinelli Autograph: Artisan Rusticated Bent Bulldog (6mm) Tobacco Pipe

The Savinelli family's legacy began when Achille Savinelli opened a humble tobacco and pipe shop in 1876, by 1948, Savinelli was one of the largest pipe manufacturers in the world. Savinelli typically adheres to their traditional shape chart, but Savinelli's Autograph line focuses on freehand shapes crafted from their finest burls of briar and individually hand-carved by a few select artisans. This bent Bulldog by Savinelli forgoes two of the shape's traditional features, beadlines encircling the bowl and a diamond shank. The broad bowl is rusticated, opting for a natural carving style rather than the geometric precision of beadlines around the waist, which gives the stout, muscular bowl a consistent texture. Out back, the shank features two strong ridges on the sides, but the top and bottom are rounded, creating a seamless transition into the rusty-orange acrylic stem, which makes a colorful companion to the dark stain on the stummel. Additionally, this pipe was crafted to accommodate a 6mm filter.
