Savinelli's Autograph line consists of pipes handcrafted from select briar by one of the Italian marque's experienced artisans. The artisans are given complete creative freedom, able to follow their artistic vision without being required to conform to Savinelli's standard shape chart. This bent Apple possesses a plump, softly rounded bowl, with a sleek taper from the broad base to the rim, lending it a Brandy-like disposition when viewed in profile. The shank is kicked high, offering a graceful posture, as well as angling the deeply bent stem for comfortable smoking. A crisp walnut sandblast dresses the stummel here, revealing some lovely growth rings rippling up the bowl from the heel, with a vibrant, broad band of green acrylic at the stem base providing some handsome contrast.
