Handmade and individually designed, Savinelli Autograph pipes offer imaginative designs that stray from the marque's shape chart, being shapes that are more Freehand-esque in execution. That said, the Autograph series also takes inspiration from classic shapes, with artisans imbuing them with their own creativity as evidenced in this bent Bulldog offering. It's a fairly traditionally inclined interpretation, though the bowl still maintains the majority of the visual weight in true neoclassical fashion. A ridgeline denotes the bowl's taper to the rim and outlines its striking shaping, taking on a form reminiscent of an Egg thanks to its oblong roundness that favors the fore. The sandblasted finish is excellent on this piece, with a rippling sunburst pattern of growth rings emanating from out of the sharp heel, cascading over the rest of the stummel.
