Savinelli's Autograph line presents pipes that are entirely hand-crafted from select briar blocks by the workshop's most experienced artisans, who are given creative freedom in carving them, which often results in more Freehand-like pieces. This Cherrywood is a sleek, angular piece in bold, neoclassic proportions, featuring a tall, tightly flared bowl that rests on a flattened heel with a dynamic forward cant, while a slim round shank turns upward out back, joined to a sinuous stem of swirled green acrylic. Dressed in a rugged, earthy sandblast, the stummel boasts a wealth of engaging texture around the bowl.
