The Autograph line offers distinctive pipes that fall outside of Savinelli's usual shape chart. Each pipe in the series is handcrafted by one of the Italian firm's most experienced artisans, who are given complete creative freedom and allowed to pursue their personal vision. This Cherrywood is a fetching example of the unique shaping often associated with the series. Highly organic in appearance, this piece brings to mind a budding flower or a wild mushroom, especially in the way its broad, plateau-crowned rim flares outward from the more reserved and stable heel. The bowl's forward cant is balanced in profile by the shank-and-stem arrangement's rearward trajectory, with each end's opposing trajectory fostering a dynamic and active profile. Dressed in a crips sandblast, the stummel displays some vibrant grain across the bowl and shank alike.
