Savinelli Autograph: Autograph Sandblasted Cherrywood (6mm) Tobacco Pipe

Savinelli's Autograph is the Italian marque's limited-production, handmade series, utilizing specially aged extra-extra plateau briar and being crafted by only three of the brand's most experienced carvers. From start to finish, the process of crafting a single one of these pipes is handled by a single one of these veteran craftsmen, the series providing them with design freedom and allowing them to express their personal creativity. This Cherrywood is a striking rendition of the classic shape, with a cylindrically-shaped bowl that pushes forward at the midsection. Said forward-urge lends this bowl a unique look that stands out among many other iterations of this profile, and it here serves to add a good bit of dynamism to the silhouette, the mid-set transition pulling the eye toward its outline. From out of this transition, a rather slim shank ebbs out with a Hawkbill-like stance, married to a demurely curved stem of vibrant green acrylic. Dressed in a crisp auburn sandblast, the stummel here showcases handsome grain throughout, with rippling growth rings cascading down the bowl.
