The Savinelli family's legacy began when Achille Savinelli opened a humble tobacco and pipe shop in 1876, by 1948, Savinelli was one of the largest pipe manufacturers in the world. Savinelli typically adheres to their traditional shape chart, but Savinelli's Autograph line focuses on freehand shapes crafted from their finest burls of briar and individually hand-carved by a few select artisans. This Acorn features a tall, shapely bowl perched atop a sharp heel that rises into a well-bent shank-and-stem combination, countering the shapely bowl with crisp, geometric lines. Furthermore, the stummel's craggy sandblast is dressed in a dark-red stain, which is paired with a jet-black acrylic stem and an additional accent, a chestnut-hued hardwood band.
