The Savinelli family's legacy began when Achille Savinelli opened a humble tobacco and pipe shop in 1876, by 1948, Savinelli was one of the largest pipe manufacturers in the world. Savinelli typically adheres to their traditional shape chart, but Savinelli's Autograph line focuses on freehand shapes crafted from their finest burls of briar and individually hand-carved by a few select artisans. This bent Bulldog by Savinelli Autograph features a stout bowl that is adorned with a crisp ridgeline on its waist, which provides a structural contrast against the shapely contours of the walls. Out back, the rectangular shank ascends to a thick stem base, which quickly cinches to a sleek saddle. Additionally, the stummel is dressed in a rustic sandblast, highlighting an assortment of undulating growth rings across the stummel.
