Savinelli's illustrious Autograph series consists of pipes hand-carved by select individual artisans from start to finish. Shapes can span a wide range, with the series comprising both venerated classics and stunning Freehands. Likewise, the Sigla sub-series features pieces that undergo the same process but with more modest proportions. With a forward-urging bowl and fluid profile, this bent Dublin from Savinelli carries a sense of dynamism all throughout its composition. From the sweeping heel, the bowl's supple walls flare gradually toward the flat rim. Out back, a sturdy Foursquare shank emerges from the bowl's smooth curves, lifting up to meet a gracefully bent, tapered stem. The stummel wears a warm, auburn stain that displays lovely vertical grain around the bowl.
