Savinelli Autograph: Sigla Smooth Bent Brandy (6mm) Tobacco Pipe

Savinelli's illustrious Autograph series consists of pipes hand-carved by select individual artisans from start to finish. Shapes can span a wide range, with the series comprising both venerated classics and stunning Freehands. Likewise, the Sigla sub-series features pieces that undergo the same process but with more modest proportions. This bent Brandy from Savinelli places a plump bowl at the fore of a vertically inclined shank-and-stem arrangement, the bowl's figure accentuated by a defined transition. Smooth, supple walls rise from the bowl's broad, rounded base, and gently taper toward the rim, creating a shape that contours well to the hand. A sturdy, square shank tapers as it lifts from the bowl, with the shank's underside expanding beyond the transition to form a protruding foot. Joining the shank is a bent saddle stem, with the arrangement offering a comfortable smoking posture. The stummel wears a warm, auburn stain that showcases windswept vertical grain across both flanks.
