Savinelli Autograph: Autograph Sandblasted Freehand (6mm) Tobacco Pipe

Savinelli's illustrious Autograph series consists of pipes hand-carved by select individual artisans from start to finish. Shapes can span a wide range, with the series comprising both venerated classics and stunning Freehands. Illustrated here is one of the Autograph line's bolder offerings, a strapping Freehand design with plenty of palm-filling substance about its build. Positioned up front is a tall, hearty bowl, with its sharply upturned heel giving way to thick, insulating walls reaching high toward the softly undulating rim. Out back, the transition offers plenty of room for the thumb to rest, giving way to a robust, gently lifting shank that meets a subtly downturned tapered stem. Fashioned from shimmering white acrylic, the stem offers a handsome contrast to the stummel's dark, earthy sandblast, which reveals waves of growth rings across both flanks. Complete with a wealth of craggy plateau at the heel, the stummel offers a variety of texture for the hand to explore.
