Savinelli Autograph: Artisan Rusticated Bent Dublin (6mm) Tobacco Pipe

Savinelli's illustrious Autograph series consists of pipes hand-carved by select individual artisans from start to finish. The Artisan sub-series offers the same standard of quality at a more accessible price range, as seen here. This bent Dublin from Savinelli's Autograph line excellently employs contrast in both shaping and presentation, making for a striking design overall. It features a tall, flaring bowl posed at the fore, its figure formed by thick walls reaching high from the pointed heel toward the subtly domed rim. Out back, a muscular shank lifts sharply upward from the bowl toward an outcropping of plateau at the shank end, where it then meets a slender, arcing tapered stem of swirling blue acrylic. The stem's vibrant palette offers a handsome contrast to the stummel's inky rustication, whose rugged striations lend this piece a wealth of stimulating texture for the hand to appreciate.
