From the base, the bowl's stocky figure is formed by thick walls tapering as they rise toward the softly rounded rim. A muscular, upturned shank transitions from the bowl and joins to a bent tapered stem with a set of plump expansion rings at its base, the overall arrangement accentuating the profile's gestural disposition. Dressing the stummel is a crisp, walnut-hued sandblast that reveals fine growth rings wrapping around the bowl.
