Savinelli's Autograph line is composed of limited-production, handmade pipes crafted by the marque's most experienced artisans. Afforded more creative freedom, the craftsmen of the line are free to depart from Savinelli's normal shape chart and create unique, evocative pieces that display their own personal style. This bent Dublin from the Autograph line is a more reserved offering from the artisans, as it follows more traditional shaping cues as opposed to the flamboyance and eccentric elements seen within other pieces. Sweeping from button to bowl, the momentum of the pipe is brought to the fore where walls rise and flare from a full-bodied heel to a domed rim. Out back, an acute transition gives way to a gradually tapering shank-and-stem combination, the inky hue of the acrylic mouthpiece contrasting the light, smooth stain seen across the stummel. Impressive flame grain can be seen across the bowl's flanks while patches of birdseye compete for attention on the rim.
