Savinelli Autograph: Autograph Smooth Bent Billiard (6) (6mm) Tobacco Pipe

Savinelli's Autograph is the Italian marque's limited-production, handmade series, utilizing specially aged extra-extra plateau briar and being crafted by only three of the brand's most experienced carvers. From start to finish, the process of crafting a single one of these pipes is handled by a single one of these veteran craftsmen, the series providing them with design freedom and allowing them to express their personal creativity. A robust take on the bent Billiard, this pipe from the Autograph line boasts plenty of substance in hand, sure to appeal to enthusiasts of stylized Italian design. The transition is wide, and it gives way to a round shank that reaches out to meet a demurely curved half-saddle stem of amber-toned acrylic. This slight curve affords the pipe a unique look and a more comfortable smoking posture, and it balances a bit of the visual weight taken up by the bowl. Said bowl stands on a pronounced heel and grows thick, tapering walls that rise to a domed rim, offering nearly two and a half inches of height and plenty of space in the chamber for leisurely smoking. Dressed in a warm, light stain and a smooth finish, the stummel showcases handsome grain throughout, with flickering flame grain displayed around the bowl.
