Afforded more creative freedom, the craftsmen of the line are free to depart from Savinelli's normal shape chart and create unique, evocative pieces that display their own personal style. This Dublin from the Autograph line is a muscular yet classically-inclined piece, marrying a flared bowl to an arrow-straight shank-and-stem combination. Said bowl sits atop a firm heel, its walls growing toward a plateau-crowned rim, which provides ample texture to explore. Out back, a sturdy rounded shank extends from the transition, stretching to meet a tapered stem cut from rich green vulcanite. The sleekness of the stem is juxtaposed by the craggy sandblast dressing the stummel, highlighting flame grain around the bowl.
