Savinelli Autograph: Autograph Sandblasted Bent Billiard with Silver (6mm) Tobacco Pipe

Savinelli's Autograph is the Italian marque's limited-production, handmade series, utilizing specially aged extra-extra plateau briar and being crafted by only three of the brand's most experienced carvers. From start to finish, the process of crafting a single one of these pipes is handled by a single one of these veteran craftsmen, the series providing them with design freedom and allowing them to express their personal creativity. A remarkably tight-knit take on the bent Billiard, this pipe boasts an impressively bowl-forward silhouette and an exceptionally deep curvature through its shank and stem. The transition is tight and parabolic, and it pairs the bowl to a rather short, swiftly curling shank that tapers toward a silver dome at its face. This dome acts as the junction to a tapering stem of smartly curved black acrylic, working in concert with the shank to lend this piece a comfortable smoking posture. Up front, the bowl stands on a rounded heel and grows thick walls that flare to a low-set waist before making an easy taper to the chamfered rim. Dressed in a ruddy sandblast, the stummel displays rippling growth rings cascading down the flanks.
