Savinelli Autograph: Autograph Smooth Volcano (4) (6mm) Tobacco Pipe

Savinelli's Autograph is the Italian marque's limited-production, handmade series, utilizing specially aged extra-extra plateau briar and being crafted by only three of the brand's most experienced carvers. From start to finish, the process of crafting a single one of these pipes is handled by a single one of these veteran craftsmen, the series providing them with design freedom and allowing them to express their personal creativity. A unique take on the Volcano, this piece from the Autograph line features a broad base beneath its thick bowl, one that's rounded by a firm ridge and pushes out subtly for a belly-like look. From the base, the walls of the bowl taper swiftly to a softly inflated rim and cant forward dynamically, while a slightly raised transition out back pairs the bowl to a long, lifting shank. Said shank is met by a short saddle stem of black acrylic with a slight downturn at its base, complementing the stummel's warm, auburn-tinged stain and smooth finish.
