Savinelli: Venere Smooth (127) (6mm) Tobacco Pipe

The Venere series was inspired by the esteemed Florentine painter Botticelli's painting 'The Birth of Venus'. Following the Neo-Platonist view point that from the contemplation of physical beauty one can better understand spiritual beauty, a lasting argument from Plato, Savinelli composed these handsome briar pipes in hopes of encouraging such contemplation. A honey-blonde stain melding into the grain of the briar reveals the striking flame pattern of this "127". The saddle-stem Billiard has been finished with a high gloss adding a sumptuous sheen and silky smooth feel.
