Savinelli: Porto Cervo Rusticated (141 KS) (6mm)
Product Number: 002-033-42768
Savinelli's "141 KS" is a robust, thoroughly Italian take on the timeless Billiard that houses an appropriately deep chamber within its incredibly hearty, towering bowl. The stout, round shank matches the bowl's muscularity and further complements the shape's sturdy, resolute disposition before the gradually tapering mouthpiece wraps everything up with its clean, angled lines. The "141 KS' is easily one of the best examples of the marque's neoclassic approach to traditional English shapes — taking classic designs and emphasizing the bowl's prominence, resulting in a substantial pipe that fills the hand effortlessly.
A town bathed in opulence, Porto Cervo is located on the northern coast of the isle of Sardinia, just to the west of Italy. With a population of under 500, the seaside resort is marked by lavish accommodations and luxury yachts, the Hotel Cala di Volpe in particular known for being featured in the 1977 James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me. The village's reputation for class and elegance inspired this line from Savinelli, dressing this piece in a glossy, dark-stained rustication, accented by trim brass accoutrements and smooth-polished briar at the rim and shank-end.- Jeffery Sitts
