Savinelli's shapes sometimes seem like they're right out of the old English playbook. While that is superficially the case with this Canadian, that sense is belied in two ways: firstly, the oval shank comes to a point on either side and, secondly, the weight of the bulge in the bowl is set a little lower than would be the case with a traditional English version of the shape.
