Italy is probably not the first place you'd think of when considering producers of small, light, understated pipes of classic English/French proportions. One of the first things you pick up when learning of different styles of pipe making, after all, is that Italians are known for making larger, and particularly larger-bowled briars. Offered here, though, is a fetching Group 1 or 2 Churchwarden take on the bent Apple, dressed in a deliciously dark stain and benefiting from the select quality briar of Savinelli's Punto Oro line.
