An excellent Italian design, the "627" bent Egg from Savinelli features a low transition with a triangular shank and a half-saddle bit to keep the eye pushed forward to the rounded bowl, which, in the select-quality briar of the Punto Oro designation, is beautifully grained and, in this case, smooth and stained a honey-chestnut hue.
