Savinelli: La Corta Smooth (616 C) Tobacco Pipe

Short, chubby shapes like this may be all the rage nowadays, but the style actually goes way back to the turn of the 20th century, when nosewarmers and stout, abbreviated pipes were commonplace. The La Corta is Savinelli's tribute to these old-school Nosewarmers, or Brucianasos as they're known in Italian — presenting a range of three of the marque's fullest, yet most well-balanced classic shapes scaled down to pocket pipe length. Here we see the "616 C," a stout and curvaceous bent Billiard, presented in a warm smooth finish and topped with a bright nickel band.
