Savinelli: Collection 2014 Smooth Natural (31/64) (6mm) Tobacco Pipe

Savinelli's Collection series has been around since 1985; however, the Italian marque didn't always offer multiple finishes across the annual, limited-edition release — most only being offered in a dark sandblast. That convention has since changed, as evidenced by this smooth, Natural version, marked by stunning grain and one of only 64 total pipes dressed in the Natural finish. That said, the Collection line's tradition of focusing on a single shape per edition remains, and for 2014, that shape was this supple, almost Apple-like rendition of the classic Rhodesian, sturdy in its proportions, but rendered in somewhat minimalist form, sans bead-lines and with an elegant gesture in profile.
