This particular example is one of four limited-edition versions, showcasing Savinelli's reputation for proprietary stems of high-quality acrylic — with only 125 pipes made in each color option. The Italian marque custom-sources mouthpieces for their thematic series, and the special acrylic reveals innovative colors and myriad patterns not found outside the Italian marque's production. Typically, the Bing's Favorite is fitted to a traditional, jet-black stem, but this limited-edition example features the technicolor, mosaic-patterned mouthpiece of Savinelli's Arlecchino series. To emphasize the colorful array and showcase the acrylic's complexity, this piece is finished in a dark rustication and accented by a trim nickel ring, resulting in a sophisticated rendition that merges the popular shape's traditional design with a modern color palette.
