Savinelli: Collection 2022 Smooth Natural (6mm) (44/62) Tobacco Pipe

Unlike Savinelli's standard-production series, the annual Collection line features only one shape, a singular design exclusive to the series that's retired at the end of the year. Collection pipes have delighted aficionados every year since 1985, and this year's edition comprises a squat bent Dublin. As a shape, the bowl bears a Pot-like stance but with the Dublin's characteristic upward flare, and the oval shank contrasts with subtle, accenting ridges along the flanks. All Collection 2022 pipes are crafted from select-grade briar, revealing stunning grain, and this particular one wears a smooth, natural finish — one of only 62 total examples fashioned in this finish and serialized as number 44 to commend its individuality. Moreover, it's fitted to an acrylic stem bearing Achille Savinelli's signature and a trim ring of natural briar at the base, and features the line's defining plaque along the top of the shank etched with "2022 Collection" to distinguish its place among Savinelli's most limited releases.
