Savinelli: Regimental Rusticated Brown (128) (6mm) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-033-65062
Savinelli's "128" Billiard is one of the marque's larger interpretations of the shape chart standard, the tall bowl commanding much of the profile's visual weight — a signature approach within Italian pipe making that's also a key aspect of Savinelli's immediately recognizable style. The bowl's prominence is further accentuated through the gradual taper of the arrow straight shank-and-stem combination. The "128" is notably longer and more muscular compared to the firm's "106" and "104" Billiards, while also being slightly stouter than their trim "107" design. This is an ideal choice for fans of classic shapes but who desire a pipe with a bit more substance all around.
In honor of the British Army's Cheshire Regiment, Savinelli here presents the Regimental series, featuring rusticated and smooth-finished versions. Before being merged to form the Mercian Regiment and 1st Battalion in 2003, the Cheshire Regiment was the only remaining British infantry regiment never to have been amalgamated, and it boasted a rich history dating over 300 years, beginning originally as the 22nd Regiment of Foot and expanded in 1881 with volunteers from Cheshire. The insignia and dress ties of the regiment display its identifying gold and burgundy color palette, and Savinelli has leaned into that aesthetic for this series, with each pipe featuring a burgundy-hued acrylic stem with twin bands of golden yellow adorning the base.
