Savinelli: Petite Smooth Natural (402) Tobacco Pipe

The Savinelli "402" is a small Belge shape — rendered most often in Savinelli's Petite size designation — and its proportions have remained consistently petite and lightweight over the years. Its sinuous and lithe attitude complements the dramatic forward cant of the bowl, and the undercurve of heel and bowl present a steady curvature that travels up the far side of the bowl for the impression of a single, adroit line. Based on the design of clay pipes from earlier eras, the "402" offers a traditional smoking experience but with more practical, pocket-friendly portability, found here in a tasteful, smooth, natural stain and accented by a trim, nickel band.
