Savinelli: Tundra Smooth (144 KS) (6mm) Tobacco Pipe

Essentially a saddle-stemmed version of the "145 KS," Savinelli's "144 KS" bent Brandy bears a similar bowl shape to the "628" bent Brandy rendition, featuring a tall, upward taper from above a voluptuous heel. Unlike the "628," however, the "145 KS" and "144 KS" are fitted to straight shanks, with only the stems slightly bent. It makes for a more upright posture that accentuates the bowl's height in profile, furthered even more by the slender saddle stem of this "144 KS."

Inspired by the foliage-sparse geography typical of harshly cold, arctic climates, the Tundra series from Savinelli presents a consistent color palette of varying auburn and chocolate hues. In this smooth rendition, the contrasting stain of the stummel blends perfectly with the variegated, caramel shades of the acrylic stem, as if having been completely fashioned out of the same material.
