Savinelli: Bing's Favorite Extra Rusticated Black Stem (6mm) Tobacco Pipe

The Favorites line from Savinelli presents long-stemmed designs inspired by those smoked by Clark Gable, Bing Crosby, and Ginger Rogers. Bing's Favorite is presented here — a take on the long-shanked, long-stemmed Billiards the celebrity was often seen smoking. Such a rendition has since become known as "Bing's Billiard," and Savinelli's version stays true to its characteristic design cues, while adding a slight bend to the stem for more comfortable clenching. This special-edition Extra version, however, features an even longer, demi-Churchwarden stem than Savinelli's usual Bing's Favorite design, offering a leisurely smoking posture, and it's available either in traditional, jet-black acrylic or a cumberland-patterned theme. Dressed in a chocolate-stained rustication, this pipe also features a golf-inspired logo on the stem. While most revered for his silver screen stardom and crooning vocals, Crosby was particularly fond of golf, competing in both the British and U.S. Amateur Championships before passing away from a heart attack in 1977 while on a golf course in Madrid. Savinelli's Bing's Favorite pipe celebrates the life of Crosby and his love of both golf and pipe smoking.
