One of Savinelli's more compact bent Billiard designs, the "605" features a tightly angled transition that calls to mind the Italian marque's "613" shape; however, it bears a bent Billiard's more rounded heel as opposed to the more pronounced and stretched, Oom Paul-like heel of the "613." Moreover, its proportions are much leaner, trading the extra-stout shank of the "613" for a more slender nature that gracefully urges upward into the demurely bent saddle stem. Timeless and elegant, the "605" is a practical interpretation of a deeply bent Billiard, offering smoking comfort in a convenient, on-the-go package.

Savinelli's Punto Oro and Giubileo d'Oro series comprise the upper echelons of the Italian marque's regular-production lineup. For decades, they've delighted pipe smokers with striking finishes and superlative grain, and this particular Giubileo d'Oro example celebrates Savinelli's historical renown: It's part of a selection of old-stock examples procured from the factory earlier this year and fashioned sometime between 1975 and 2005 — a rare array that we've distinguished as "Legacy Stock."
