Meaning "octagon" in Italian, Savinelli's limited-edition Ottagono series comprises a single Pot design embellished with eight crisp facets across the bowl and shank. The paneled aesthetic evokes a structured, architectural aesthetic reminiscent of the Italian marque's iconic, since-discontinued Octavia series, pairing well with the classic Pot's characteristic stoutness and bespeaking a high level of craftsmanship. Moreover, this Ottagono pipe was fashioned from a selection of new old-stock stummels and fitted to an acrylic stem custom-cast for this series: Showcasing a crackled visual pattern of fiery orange, umber, and black hues, the mouthpiece reflects Savinelli's reputation for high-quality, proprietary acrylic with intriguing, modernist color palettes while also evoking the look of vintage amber stems used in the late 19th and early 20th centuries — contrasting starkly against the stummel's dark, grain-defining sandblast. Only 550 total pipes were made for this limited-edition series, with this piece stamped with individual serialization. It offers compact dimensions for easy portability and lightweight comfort, refined by the combination of striking panels, textured sandblast, and captivating acrylic stem.
