Savinelli: Miele (344 KS) (6mm) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-033-75094
Both the "344 KS" and "345 KS" shapes from Savinelli are squat renditions of the classic Brandy, displaying a voluptuous bowl marked by a steady taper toward the rim. Where the two designs differ, however, is in their stems and chamber dimensions. The "344 KS," seen here, presents a saddle stem, and its chamber is comparable to a Pot's, being more shallow and broad than that of the "345 KS." It's a full-bodied piece that conforms well to wrapped fingers and offers a traditional shape for lovers of timeless shape-chart standards.
Meaning "honey" in Italian, Savinelli's Miele line recalls its namesake through the use of a golden color palette and crystalline visual texture — the stummel wearing a vivid, honey-blonde stain and being paired to an acrylic stem that resembles the mosaic-like structure of honeycomb. Furthermore, the chamber has been treated with a honey extract, promoting a sweet-smoking break-in period, and it all comes complete with a wooden tamper in the shape of a honey dipper.
