Full bent and light, this "615" Oom Paul from Savinelli features a relatively diminutive shank set against a hearty bowl, as often found with Italian design, and this piece reminds me of Castello's bent Egg shapes in proportion, though with a less rounded and full bowl. A well balanced shape, this pipe is a great hands-free option, especially for those who enjoy lengthy smoking sessions.
Savinelli's Pipa Antica pipes present old-stock stummels across a wide variety shapes. Turned decades ago, Antica features many shapes only available in this limited-edition release, having been removed from the Italian marque's standard shape chart long ago. Each Pipa Antica is dressed in a crisp, earthy sandblast and fitted with an attractive Ebonite stem, lending these vintage stummels a timeless, rustic appeal.
