Savinelli: Airone Sandblasted Tobacco Pipe

Airone means "heron" in Italian, reflecting the long, elegant lines of that bird in this lithe bent Billiard. It's also as light as a gliding fowl, and the curve of the stem is reminiscent of the curve of an airfoil. A nice detail is the chamfering of the inside of the bowl rim. All in all, quite an elegant design from Savinelli, forgoing the often bold proportions seen through the Italian marque's portfolio and here dressed in a crisp, earthy sandblast.
