Both elegant and organic, here Scott's paired a squat, well rounded bowl with a slender, upward sweeping bamboo extension. The resulting juxtaposition is quite remarkable — tight, well-defined knuckles against a broad, shallow chamber; a fluid transition against a trim short shank; an extra-slim bit against the overall plumpness of the bowl. Even the finish works in balance, with the warm, yet high contrast stain set against the near black shade of the bamboo.
