Scott Klein: Sandblasted Speeding Bent Dublin
Product Number: 002-517-0064
When it comes to evocative profiles, Scott Klein really pays careful attention to proportions and lines to allude to either something in nature or some sort of action. His "Pierced Fish", for example, with its disc-like flanks and upward curling tale, does, indeed, remind one of a fish being pierced by a hunter's spear. And the same can be said for this "Speeding Dublin" shape.
The concave bevel to the fore, the pinched, oval rim, the backwards cant of the aft, the crisp, bold heel, the slight flare to the shank end. all these elements work to create a silhouette that implies a lot of visual momentum, seemingly speeding forward as it hangs from the lips.
