Scott Klein: Sandblasted Bent Brandy with Horn
Product Number: 002-517-0100
The horn fitment on this piece seems to dominate visually, with the black of the bowl and stem bookending it. The blast is deep and craggy and a pleasure to hold, with the rim partially smooth in a rustic aesthetic. Light and easy to hold, it's a pipe that would rest comfortably in a jacket pocket. Viewing it from the top and bottom definitely highlight the oval bowl, wider than it is long. Quality detail abounds, with that same oval echoed on the stem expansion ring. A brass ring fit into the horn at the stem will help maintain structural integrity while also adding another decorative element. The transition from bowl to shank is the smallest measurement, with bowl and shank expanding from that point. It's a beautiful and creative piece that would enhance any collection.- Chuck Stanion
