Scottie Piersel: Relief Contrast Pencil Shank Rhodesian Tobacco Pipe

While Scottie Piersel crafts a variety of classic forms, it's her unique, pencil-shanked designs that most often appear in her portfolio, and it's self-evident why: they are, like all of her pipes, meticulously engineered and visually striking, playing with both proportion and expectation. This Rhodesian embodies Piersel's signature aesthetic, offering a muscular, full-bodied bowl balanced at the fore of an incredibly slender shank and a trim tapered stem. Like all of her pencil-shanked designs, the shank here is lined with stainless steel, enabling the lithe outcropping of briar to support the considerably larger bowl, all while keeping the pipe's aft looking streamlined in profile. The composition is tastefully dressed in Piersel's striking Relief sandblast, which unveils rippling grain throughout the stummel.
