Scottie Piersel: Relief Contrast Pencil Shank Dublin with Ivorite Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-786-0275
While Scottie Piersel crafts a variety of classic forms, it's her unique, pencil-shanked designs that most often appear in her portfolio, and it's self-evident why: they are, like all of her pipes, meticulously engineered and visually striking, playing with both proportion and expectation. This Dublin showcases Piersel's signature aesthetic, and like most of her pencil-shanked offerings, it boasts an impressive length, measuring over six and a half inches from bowl to bit. The majority of the aforementioned length is afforded to the shank, a lean outcropping of briar lined with stainless steel tubing. This tubing enables the incredibly trim shank-and-stem arrangement the ability to support the muscular bowl at the pipe's fore. Said bowl stands atop a firm heel and grows thick walls that flare to a broad, plateau-flecked rim and conceal a healthy tobacco chamber. Matching this piece's impressive engineering and stylish, streamlined shaping is the pipe's palette, which consists of a the Relief Contrast sandblast, an Ivorite accent, and a vibrant green mouthpiece.
