Ser Jacopo: Rusticated Bent Dublin (R1)
Product Number: 002-171-1843
Yes, it's a bent Dublin - a distinctly Italian sort of bent Dublin, quite unlike the classical English and French renditions, but a Dublin nonetheless. I don't know if this shape originated from the Pesaro school, or if it may have predated it, but these days you do mostly see it from Pesaro and Pesaro-influenced pipemakers, and it certainly possess plenty of that quirkiness and gestural character of design the late Giancarlo Guidi adopted as a prominent element in founding and defining the Pesaro school.
