Ser Jacopo: Spongia Imago Rusticated Dublin Sitter (R2) (B)

Product Number: 002-171-2812

A rare shape from Ser Jacopo, based on my never having seen one like it and its nonexistence in our archives, this Imago Dublin sitter features a very low transition and shank, so low, in fact, that the underside is flattened and the pipe sits easily. The Imago line refers to the silver accent mirrored on the end of the shank and on the stem base. With a gnarly rustication covering the stummel except for the rim, it provides lots of tactile feedback in hand. The rim is smooth, flat, and lightly-stained to subtly contrast against the Spongia rustication of the bowl in this long and elegant piece.
