Ser Jacopo: Spongia Imago Rusticated Freehand (R2) (B)

Product Number: 002-171-2813

Peter Matzhold meets the Castello "55" in this slender but bulbous rusticated Freehand from Ser Jacopo. The forward heel is similar to the orientation of the "55," though in much rounder fashion on the far heel, while the flat panel at the fore is reminiscent of many of Matzhold's shaping designs. The smooth shank meets that smooth near panel in a light stain, and it runs up the bowl to the rim, which is itself smooth and continuous of the paneled smooth area. The famous Spongia rustication technique covers the rest of the stummel for easy grip and visual interest, while the long, tapering stem and shank combination trails away from the forward urging bowl.
