Ser Jacopo: Imago Smooth Freehand (L1) (B)

Product Number: 002-171-2817

Ser Jacopo's Imago pipes feature a special style of silverwork, presenting a mount and stem band that perfectly mirror each other. It's a series we rarely see from the Pesaro workshop, yet perfectly demonstrates their whimsical shaping style and immense skill with accenting materials. This particular Freehand in an excellent example, able to sit firmly upon flat surfaces yet offering a substantial, comfortable feel in hand. The robust bowl appears to be speeding forward in profile, a visual illusion created by its broad, low-set waistline dramatically protruding outward and further accentuated by the shank and stem trailing away behind it. Contrasting the plumpness up front, the bowl's aft consists of a single panel and presents a natural resting spot for the thumb. It's handsomely finished in a warm mahogany stain, brilliantly accented by the flashy accoutrements.
