Ser Jacopo: Spongia Rusticated Poker (R2) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-171-2961
This particular Ser Jacopo rustication technique resembles the convoluted surface of sponges, hence the name "spongia." The zoological branch of science that studies sponges is called spongology, and since I am currently studying this pipe, that makes me a spongologist. And it's a fun pipe to study. The light-blonde stain will darken inevitably with time, which is the fun part of a near-natural finishing treatment. Becoming tans and gold with smoking, it will reflect its experiences with its owner. This compact Poker features a single beadline underneath its smooth rim, gently rounded rim that separates it from the rustication below. It's a pipe full of tactile and visual stimulation, and can act as credentials confirmation next time you crash a spongology conference.
