This eight pipe set from Ser Jacopo showcases the Italian marque's Insanus series, pipes that push the boundaries of pipe making, offering an array of visually arresting, playful renditions of classic shapes as well as unique Freehands. While typical pipe sets vary in terms of quantity, they often follow under the assumption of rotating a pipe a day, making this eight pipe set something of a rarity. Much of what informs the eclectic nature of Insanus pipes is Ser Jacopo's ability to drill continuously through a curve, enabling the distinctive shaping of the series. Included in this set are a Freehand, an upside down Billiard, a Billiard, two Barrels, a bent Apple, a Double Barrel Billiard, and a Freehand Sitter. Each piece possesses rather robust proportions often seen in the Italian neoclassical tradition, with each topped off by a jet-black acrylic stem.
