Ser Jacopo: Picta Van Gogh Smooth Bent Pot with Silver (L2) (C) (17)

Product Number: 002-171-3058

Inspired by the sleek pipe featured in Van Gogh's Young Man with a Pipe (1884), this bent Pot is part of Ser Jacopo's Picta line, which depicts pipes found in famous paintings. The round, stout bowl is paired to a fairly lengthy shank-and-stem combination, ensuring that the bowl in this neoclassic rendering assumes the visual weight. In a playful bit of shaping, the bowl's flattened rim is edged beneath by a wrapping ridgeline, which is stained a vibrant ruby hue for intriguing contrast to the stummel's honey-blonde stain. Rife with stunning licks of flame grain about the bowl with dense birdseye along the rim, this piece is further commended by a trim silver accent ring, lending a tasteful dash of flash.
